Prominent Decline in Labour cases: A Result of Enhanced Legal Awareness in the UAE
Labor disputes in the UAE saw a significant 40% decrease in 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, thanks to increased awareness efforts. Counselor Youssef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, credited this achievement to heightened awareness of existing laws among companies and individuals. Successful awareness campaigns conducted by the Department in collaboration with strategic partners played a crucial role in promoting legal understanding and informing about rights and responsibilities in line with directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Al Abri emphasized that streamlined legal procedures in labor cases and effective dispute resolution in labor courts have greatly contributed to both institutional and individual economic stability. This success aligns with the ADJD strategic plan and the emirate’s vision, further establishing the emirate as an attractive destination for foreign investment and business.
